Skin Boosters, Exosomes blah blah blah……how do I understand the differences?

Skin Boosters, Exosomes, Fillers…… what is the difference between these? We have realized that it can be confusing to figure out what these procedures provide as we continue to advance our knowledge in Aesthetic Medicine. This is why were are discussing this topic. Here is a little info……

Skin boosters are HA (hyaluronic acid) injected under the skin to increase hydration, improve the glow of the skin (improve light reflection) and smooth the skin. This improves the appearance of dry, dull or uneven skin. Skin boosters promote collagen production which firms the skin.

How are skin boosters different from traditional fillers? We use skin boosters to improve the quality and health of the skin while fillers add fullness, shape and contour (lips, cheeks, etc).

Exosomes are a TYPE of skin boosters. They deliver growth factors which promote tissue regeneration. They stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

Skin boosters made from HA (hyaluronic acid) hydrate the skin.

PRP is a TYPE of skin booster. They deliver growth factors which promote tissue regeneration. They stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

PRP is similar to Exosomes EXCEPT PRP is created from your own blood and Exosomes are created from a lab.

At Higher Self Aesthetics, we explain these differences intimately to each of our patients in order to provide the best results. Every face is created different and that is why we CUSTOMIZE our treatment plans.

Hope you enjoyed your insight in aesthetic medicine with Higher Self Aesthetics.
