Why is there so much controversy on lip fillers? For many years, large lips were popular. The past couple of years, the trend has changed and subtle thicker lips are in. Ultimately, it is a personal preference and that is the beauty of Aesthetic Medicine. This field is an Art. Each patient has their own canvas that we (providers) can enhance. There shouldn’t be any apprehension on lip fillers. Sometimes a little “lift” or “fill” of the lips enhances the natural beauty of the lips. That is why we evaluate each patient, their anatomy, their requests, and customize the appropriate treatment plan for THAT person. You may not “like” how one person has their lips BUT that does not mean that you can’t get lip fillers and get the look YOU want. Whether it’s full, subtle or filled because you lack an upper lip etc……. something to think about.
