To minimize migration and to give your lips a “break”, it is important to get routine dissolving of your lip filler. This is a quick and relatively painless procedure (we use BLT cream). Hylenex (Hyaluronidase) injections are placed in your lips. After the injections, there is an immediate softening of your lips. It can take up to 48 hours to see full results.
We have patients who come routinely for this procedure. This gives your provider a “clean slate” and the opportunity to fill lips that do not have existing filler. We recommend 2-4 weeks before we fill your lips again. We want your lips to have time to heal, allow the swelling to go down, and let the lips settle into their original (or close) size.
